Spring Mourning
by Don Bryan

The raindrops are heavy on the delicate dogwood flowers this morning. The sky is gray and the lime green new leaves of the forest stare at me inquisitively. It is cause for a smile while one ponders nature's decision to give us only a breif visit with the snowy white flowers of the dogwood.

As humans we will also reach the same fate as the dogwood flowers. I only hope we will fall softly to the ground, while being viewed and remembered as a creation of beauty.
