~THE DIFFERENCE~
I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day.
I had so much to accomplish
that I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
and heavier came each task.
"Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered
He answered, "You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn't show me,
He said, "But you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presence;
I used all my keys at the lock,
God gently and lovingly chided,
"My child, you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning,
and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I had to take time to pray.
~WHEN I DRIFT LORD~
When things start to go wrong
Lord don't let it last to long
And when I think I'll go astray
Please don't let me drift from my faith.
If someone doesn't seem to understand
Lord help me so that I won't demand
Open my eyes and help me to see
Just maybe the reason is me.
Lord if someone says that we're losing touch
If it's someone I love so very much
With a gentle whisper give me a lift
Lord, please help me if I start to drift.
~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~
I said a prayer for you today.
And I know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart,
Although He spoke no word.
I didn't ask for wealth or fame,
I knew you wouldn't mind.
I asked Him to send treasures
Of a more lasting kind.
I asked that He'd be near you,
At the start of each new day,
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way.
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all
~THE LITTLE THINGS IN LIFE~
To often we don't realize
what we have until it's gone;
To often we wait to late to say
"I'm sorry, I was wrong."
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones
we hold dearest to our hearts;
And we allow foolish things
to tear our lives apart.
Far to many times we let
unimportant things into our minds,
And then it's usually too late
to see what made us blind.
So be sure that you let people know
how much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words
before your time is through.
Be sure that you appreciate
everything you've got!
And be thankful for the Little Things
in life that mean alot.
