HULDAH JOY WHITE

Huldah Joy White of Oakland, Maryland, peacefully entered into the arms of God on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002.

Joy was born on Dec. 19, 1943, in Crellin. She passed from this life at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., on Jan. 13, 2002, following an extended period of illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Anna Lee; brother, Harry; and sister, Laura.

As the baby of her family, Joy is survived by brother George; and sisters Norma, Leatrice, Marion, Phyllis, and Sandra.

Joy was the cherished mother of Amy White, Lori White, David Tressler, and Tami Rosage. Her children's lives were lovingly touched by her selfless example and gentle spirit.

Daughter-in-law Sandra Tressler, together with son-in-law Bernie Rosage Jr., sadly grieve the passing of this special woman.

Grandma White shared her life with grandchildren Lyndsey, Whitney, D.J., Kyle, Dylan, Nevin, Anna, Hanna, Olivia, and great-grandson Christian. Their young lives will be forever imprinted by their Grandma White's priceless influence.

Joy donated her body to the Human Gift Registry of West Virginia University Medical College.

A memorial service was held in remembrance and celebration of her life on Monday, Jan. 14, at the Loch Lynn Church of God.

Our comfort is in knowing that peace is hers, and that we will see our precious Joy again.

Due to Joy's passion for books and reading, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Ruth Enlow Library, Oakland.

Obituary from "The Republican" Newspaper dated January 17, 2002.
On behalf of our mother, Joy,
we wish to thank each of you that shared a card, encouraging word, visit, or prayer during her illness. These acts of kindness will forever be cherished and remembered.

WHEN I MUST LEAVE YOU
Author Unknown

When I must leave you for a little while
Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you through years
But start out bravely with a gallant smile
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and do all things the same
Feed not your loneliness on empty days
But fill each waking hour in useful ways
Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer
And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near
And never, never be afraid to die
For I am waiting for you in the sky!
